Playing Catch-Up

Sorry that it has taken so long to get caught up on here! We got back from Tennessee late last Monday night after two LONG days of driving. I have never been so happy to go through the gate on base! We had a really good time while we were there and it was nice just to go and relax. Will did alot of hunting and I did alot of nothing :) We told both of our families our good news while we were home. Everyone is so excited! We gave my parents and Will's Mom a copy of "Chicken Soup for the Grandparent's Soul" and ultrasound picture to tell them. It was totally random and I don't think they had ANY idea what was going on. My Mom and Dad were in "excited shock." My Mom just screamed and cried, good screams and cries, and my Dad ran and grabbed a picture frame and replaced the picture with the ultrasound and put it front and center on the entertainment center! It took Will's Mom just a minute to figure it out, but once she did, she was so excited. They both ran out and started buying things for the baby, just like I knew they would :) I am so thankful that our baby is coming into such a loving family. We had a doctor's appointment the Wednesday after we got back to Utah...It was so amazing. We were there in the room and right there it is...a heartbeat. I could see it, but didn't hear anything...and right then, there is was..I could hear it. Will and I were just looking at each other and then back to the screen and then back to each other. It was one of those moments in my life that I will NEVER forget. Darren (my doctor, who insists on being called by his first name, love him!) said that everything looks great and everything is measuring just like it should. Will was SO stinkin' cute. He was full of questions.."whats this?" and "whats that?" He's been so wonderful with everything...handling my weird freezing cold body temperature, not laughing too much when I'm standing in the kitchen eating only dill pickles, and just being attentive and asking me how I feel. Those things really do mean alot to me and I hope he knows that. Darren did say that I am a few days further along than we originally thought and moved the due date to August 10. I'm excited for my next appointment! He said that if everything works out just right and the baby is in just the right position that we may be able to get a guess on the baby's sex. Even if we get a guess, I'm going to try my hardest not to get my heart set on whatever we think it MAY be. I've seen it change too many times! I get an ultrasound every time, which I LOVE and I am still trying to figure out a way to send them via email to family. (They are each recorded to DVD)

*The first picture is the baby at 6 weeks. The second is at 9 weeks.*

I'm still looking for a job, trying my hardest to keep my head up about it. I know whatever does or doesn't happen is all in God's plan. And though I may not understand the reason right now, I will.

I hope you all are having a wonderful 2009!

Until next time..We love yall!
Will & Megan
